Q1 |
How do you brackets compare to other ways of attaching guttering ? |
They don't. Our brackets are significantly more aesthetically pleasing, exhibit the nature of the attachment functionally, and superior in strength. We do not consider our brackets as just another way of securing guttering, but rather fine hardware. |

Doesn't cost less to just build a Fascia Board around the entire house, and use the fascia mount brackets that are sold by others ? |
Q1 |
No, not when you compare the cost of using the proper exterior grade wood for the fascia board and the proper priming and two coats of paint. ( see " JUST IMAGINE" page) |

Are these brackets complimentary to the "New Urbanist" movement ? |
Q1 |
As an architect and/or designer, you are probably best suited to determine this. We understand this "movement" encompasses many, many different ideas which are not all about architecture. But we do know that one aspect of the "ideal" community is less vehicles and more walking, which means more than ever details on your designs will be seen and appreciated. |

Do I need a bracket on every rafter tail ? |
Q1 |
It depends, in part on, where you live in the United States. You can put a bracket on every other rafter tail ( assuming your rafter tails are approx. 16" o.c. ) if you live in a rain prone area in the winter months. If you live in an area that receives good amounts of snow or ice storms during the winter, we recommend one on every rafter tail. If your rafter tails are 24” o.c., then we recommend a bracket each one. Also, the " weight" or thickness of the copper guttering you plan to use should also be considered. A thin copper gutter may warp slightly if spacing is more than 32" o.c., which seems to be an industry standard in the spacing of other types of guttering support. Finally, from a pure aesthetic point of view, a bracket on every rafter tail looks very nice. |
