1. Use of half-round guttering vs. Ogee profile. If you have a house or building with simple lines and elements, the simplicity of half-round guttering is the more appropriate style. Ogee is derived from classical architectural styles.. Simply put, bungalow, craftsman, or arts & crafts style structures should NOT have greek or roman elements !

2. Unique, patented solution to a difficult design challenge.

3. Design is appropriate to the spirit of bungalow.

4. Custom designs can be executed.

5. An excellent design element whose scale reflects not only historical appropriateness, but also the philosophy of the new urbanist movement.

6. The brackets are ultimately an interior design element as well, given how visible they'll be from interior spaces. ("..when I wake up in the morning in our 2nd floor master, the first thing I see is the sky w/ cedar and cedar elm branches underlit by the early sun, waving in the breeze, behind the cozy rafter tails of our little roof deck, edged with your wonderful brackets & the copper gutter. 7. Avoid leaving the selection of guttering materials to the builder or installer. Too visible a detail to leave unspecified.
